Questions
hello@foundry.pageIn plain English
The short version: public page content is public, account and billing data are used to run the product, and we do not sell personal information.
What We Collect
We collect the information you give us when you create an account, publish a page, subscribe to someone, contact support, or pay for Foundry.
- Account details: name, email address, password, and basic account metadata.
- Profile content: username, display name, headline, location, avatar, banner, ventures, links, posts, and newsletter content you publish through Foundry.
- Subscriber details: email addresses collected when someone subscribes to a creator on Foundry.
- Billing records: plan status, checkout events, and subscription state. Card details are handled by Polar, not stored by Foundry.
- Technical and security data: IP address, user agent, session information, and timestamps generated when you sign in or use the app.
How We Use It
We use personal information to run Foundry and keep the service secure.
- Create and secure accounts.
- Host and display public profile pages.
- Send password resets, welcome emails, newsletter emails, and support replies.
- Process subscriptions and manage billing access.
- Prevent abuse, enforce limits, and investigate problems.
- Measure newsletter delivery and email opens for creator analytics.
What Becomes Public
Foundry is built around public profile pages. If you publish a page, the content you mark as public can be seen by anyone who visits it.
- Your username and public page URL.
- Your display name, headline, location, links, and venture details.
- Posts you publish publicly.
Subscriber-only posts are emailed to subscribers and are not shown on the public profile by default.
How Long We Keep Data
We keep account and profile data for as long as your account remains active or as long as we need it to provide the service. Subscriber records are kept until they are removed, unsubscribed, or no longer needed for the operation of a creator's mailing list.
We may keep limited records longer when required for billing, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Your Rights and Choices
You can update or remove a lot of your information directly from your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information.
To make a privacy request, email hello@foundry.page from the address connected to your account. We may ask you to verify ownership before we act on the request.
International Processing
Foundry is available online, and our infrastructure and service providers may process data in more than one country. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your home country.
Children
Foundry is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
